Growing up in a Christian home, I always understood there was a God. However, I didn't always have the correct understanding of who God is. I grew up believing that God was a little like 'ole St. Nick, watching your every move and checking to see if you've been naughty or nice. If you were good enough to be on the "Nice List", then you could ask him for things that you wanted and needed. 

So of course, I did the best I could in my everyday life to ensure I was on God's "Nice List" and prayed and asked him for the things I needed and wanted. It wasn't until 4 years ago, when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes, that I saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ for who they really are. . . LOVE! This concept that God loves us JEALOUSLY and even sacrificed His only son to save us from an eternity in Hell was more than I could bear. I became overwhelmed with a passionate love for Jesus Christ who began to show me that HE IS ALIVE AND WELL TODAY, SPEAKING TO US! I began to build a relationship with Him that led to a deeper understanding of the Word of God, which helped give me a better understanding of the character of who God really is! 

 If God so desperately wanted ME that he gave up His only Son to save me, I will most definitely give Him my life! So when the Lord asked me to move to Nigeria so that he could change lives by the power of a testimony, I didn't even hesitate to say YES! It is my prayer that God uses the team here in Nigeria to bring an understanding of a real relationship with Jesus Christ, just as the Lord did for me 4 years ago.
